Welcome to Cinder Hills Boarding Kennel in Flagstaff, Arizona! We are a family-owned and operated kennel, not a franchise. Our facility has been in operation since 1972. Al and Valorie Bowman purchased the kennel in 2001 and have done extensive upgrades since that time, including adding another kennel building. You could say that Cinder Hills is Flagstaff’s oldest AND newest dog and cat boarding facility!

Located east of Flagstaff on 5 acres, our kennel consists of 42 indoor/outdoor runs, 14 outside runs, 12 outdoor exercise areas as well as a cat facility that we call our Purring Parlor. All outdoor portions of the runs are covered to maximize the comfort and enjoyment of our campers! Our facility is heated and cooled with 6 different zone controls to ensure each of our guests are comfortable. Skylights and windows throughout the facility ensure natural light that is easy on the eyes. Our conventional lighting consists of pet friendly bulbs that are more suited for animals. Music is piped into our kennel 24 hours a day!

We sincerely hope that you will come and check out our facility. We are located east of Flagstaff, on Townsend Winona Road. We welcome tours anytime during our normal business hours. The exceptions are Wednesdays and Sundays due to our shorter hours those days. We also do not give tours during our holiday times due to the amount of boarders we have and they get easily excitable when they see strangers.
